Thirty years ago, Jacksonville's rapid development threatened to erase a beautiful natural area. A concerned citizens group stepped forward and saved the pristine property. Now, present and future generations have a place to learn about nature, to walk amongst tall pines and massive oaks, to observe a quiet stream, and to wonder at life's creations.

Tree Hill, Jacksonville's Nature Center, is situated in the middle of Arlington, a residential neighborhood in Jacksonville, Florida. Citizens of all ages are offered a wide array of educational programs designed to make them aware of the natural world around them. Programs and facilities are accessible to all visitor populations.

You are invited to spend a day exploring Tree Hill's hilltop forest, meandering streams, nature trails, and educational pyramid. Participate in a guided tour, attend one of the environmental workshops, or come to special events held throughout the year. All Tree Hill programs are designed to make participants aware of the world that was, a world that in some places still is, and, most importantly, a world that can and must be preserved for those to come.

Community support has been an important element in sustaining Tree Hill. Your membership will ensure continued funding for Jacksonville's Nature Center.
